Man, I just had the most explosive weekend up in Penang hill, or some would prefer calling it Bukit Bendera, staying at the Methodist Bangalow. Together with 30+ men, we all came together to fellowship and find our significance in God, and identifying our need for God's forgiveness and starting anew our walk with Christ with renewed passion. We never had such an experience, where we played, shouted with all our hearts, lived out our 'manliness', confessed our sins to one another, learnt the Word of God together. God brought us together to help us see, that transparancy between one another is so important.

You know, I truly believe that none of the men who went up to Penang Hill regretted going for this retreat. I've heard some testimonies of men who were reluctant to go at first, but after the first day, their perception changed! God was truly working a work among us, to restore the men, because the men are the source, they are the beginning of the family unit or institution.

Because of transparency, we were willing to be open to one another. James 5:16 says to "confess your sins to one another, that you may be healed. For the effective prayers of a righteous man avails much." Truly, I felt like the walls we had were broken down, we were transparent with one another. Like the catch phrase, "naked, but not ashamed".

I truly thank God for the experience. It was very inspiring, to hear the challenge for men to live for God, in their maximum capacity. Truly, I believe we can all achieve our maximized manhood if we identify with the areas of our lives that are not pleasing to God, breaks it's hold or power over our lives, and commit to serving Him alone, the true and great God.

To all the men who were up there with me, I am thankful for sharing the season together. We all grew together, gelled together, fellowshiped, and built relationships. The experience is truly amazing. The picture shown is the fellowship we shared. I love this fellowship.

And Pr Sam, we love you. Thanks for being so open to share with us. You are indeed our inspiration. Thanks for your awesome leadership, and transparency. You are a model to model after.

Father, we thank You for the awesome experience we experienced up in Penang Hill. We know You have deposited such grace into the men, and want to build and make the men know that they are the source, and You want them to be discipled to be the very man You would want them to be. We are excited because we know, this is just the beginning to more exciting moments. Because we have tasted of Your goodness, we want to share it with others around us. We love You Lord, and thank You for Your awesome grace that accompanied us. All these, I commit and pray in Jesus' loving name, Amen!
